Core Ministries Is Closing Its Doors

Core closes it's doors December 31, 2007 and has entrusted all the books written by it's late founder, Dave Ray, to the Higher Ground Foundation of Holland, Michigan.  Higher Ground will continue to make all our books available incorporating them with their own materials to help those who would like to begin taking steps toward a better life.

Higher Ground has consented to continue publication of  "The Christian Inmate News."   Dave wanted to take the Salvation Message to where it was needed most — to the jails and prisons — and he felt maybe an inmate to inmate paper might be the key.  The Inmate News turned out to be the perfect vehicle for inmates to share with

other inmates their experiences, strengths and hopes as Christians through their testimonies, articles, poetry and art.  His hope that the paper and the inmates sharing would help reduce recidivism and lead inmates to God and it did.  We have read many instances where it has through the inmates letters we receive.

Core has been publishing four issues of the Inmate News a year.  Over 88,000 papers are sent free to inmates through the Office of the Chaplains of every jail, prison and detention center in the United States. (approximately 4,300 facilities) Individual subscriptions of the paper are available as well as purchase of bulk copies at very reasonable prices.

"The Christian Inmate News" provides a Bright Spot of Hope and brings the Gospel
Message to inmates in their dark and dreary world behind bars.
